Survey Results Introduction

The MCPS Community and members of the public were invited to take the survey to help the District better understand the needs and priorities of the community. The survey closed on June 04, 2025 but we have taken some of the valuable insights shared by the community and included them below.

Project Background

Missoula County Public Schools
Missoula County Public Schools serves students in the Missoula and Seeley Lake, MT, communities. Its Core Purpose is to engage all students in a high-quality education that empowers, inspires, and prepares each student from cradle to career.

MCPS Properties Plan
MCPS owns several parcels of land and owns multiple buildings that are currently rented to other organizations. To determine how these 14 buildings and properties can serve the District’s Core Purpose and meet its growing needs for the future, the District is leading a Properties Plan.

The Properties Plan will make recommendations for the best use(s) of these 14 properties. The Plan may determine that the best possible use is the current use. The recommendations from the Plan will go to the MCPS Board of Trustees in fall 2025 to consider and determine the future of these properties.

Needs and Priorities
Recommendations for the best use of each property will consider a range of criteria, including how well the use of the property meets the needs and priorities of MCPS.

Input from the MCPS community and members of the public will help shape the District’s understanding of needs, priorities, and current uses.

Please refer to the MCPS Properties Map on the home page for the property locations.
